Regional Director - East of England
Role Purpose
- Develop and deliver high quality, profitable business growth strategies with clients across the East of England, aligned to the Groups vision and values.
- Develop and nurture strong business relationships with existing and new clients, exploring
- strategic business development opportunities including joint ventures and acquisitions.
- Build brand awareness in the market, representing the business at relevant networking and sector association events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to gain a competitive edge.
- Lead and create the operational vision, ambition and aims for the Region in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Lead, develop, coach and empower a high performing management team across: Project Management, Estates and Development, Building Services, Architecture, Building Surveying, Structural and Civil, Cost Consultancy, Design Management and BIM with overall responsibility to c120 staff in the East of England, communicating clear direction and ensuring accountability for delivery.
- Oversee all operations and business activities in the Region to ensure they deliver to contractual timeframes, budgets, compliance and quality standards.
- Develop the Business Management System to ensure the continuous improvement of quality assured services/products.
- Evolve and lead a people focused and inclusive culture of engagement, high performance, continuous improvement and sustainability, promoting a customer-centric mindset.
- Ensure effective sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes to support business objectives and financial targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to optimize performance and enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive the ESG agenda and NetZero targets.
Experience and Skills Required
- Previous Business Development and Project Management leadership experience, specifically from within the property design, build and solutions consultancy sector.
- Demonstrated track record of driving profitable growth via intelligent business development and relationship building, stakeholder management, effective budgeting and cost control.
- Collaborative and inclusive leadership skills, with the ability to support the Managing Director and motivate a diverse commercial organisation.
- The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external parties who share a vested interest in the organisation and the delivery of successful projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, identify business opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong business acumen and financial understanding, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Quality and compliance focused, with strong emphasis on health and safety.
- Member of a relevant professional body ie RICS, CABE,CIAT,CIOB, CIEEM.
